Student Project Award Application

Enter a project related to the marine environment. Three awards of $300 each will be given to the selected project in each of the three categories. below. The purpose of the Student Project Award is to encourage continuing education and study of the marine environment. To enter, select the appropriate category for your project and submit the required information. You may submit photos but no video, please.

Limit entries to 6 pages plus the two letters of recommendation.

All projects require two letters of recommendation, one from your teacher/sponsor. We request that the letters emphasize the benefits of your project to your school or community and to the marine sciences.

 Include an abstract, data, results and conclusion. Where did you get the idea for the project?  Submit a project summary that explains what type of service was rendered and for  whom.
How do you think your project will expand our knowledge of the ocean? How many students, teachers, and people from community were involved and how?
Was this project entered in a fair? Result? Where did you get the idea for the  project?
 What science classes have you taken and  what are your future plans/career objectives? How do you think your project results will expand our knowledge of (or benefit) the ocean?
